Completion of the Integration of Epoxy Resin Industry Chain Facilities for C3 Phase One Project

In October, Sinochem International initiated the trial operation of a Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) unit with an annual capacity of 600,000 tons as part of its C3 Phase One Project. This is a milestone marking the complete integration of its epoxy resin industry chain facilities in Lianyungang.

Startup of Para-Aramid Capacity Expansion Project

In August，Sinochem International launched the para-aramid capacity expansion project with an annual capacity of 2,500 tons. New production facilities are expected to start up in 2024, at which time the company’s total para-aramid production capacity will climb to 8,000 tons a year.

Completion of the Deal on Natural Rubber Business

On 3 February, Sinochem International closed on the transfer of ownership of a 36% stake in Halcyon Rubber Company (natural rubber business) to Hainan Rubber, further focusing on the core business of chemical new materials.

Issuance of 4.975 Billion RMB Private Placement

On 7 December, Sinochem International announced the issuance of 829 million shares at 6 RMB per share, raising a total of 4.975 billion yuan in capital from 18 designated entities. This private placement is the largest single capitalization since the company went public in 2000, strengthening the company's financials while providing funding for new chemical materials business.

Sinochem International to Sell 36% Equity in Halcyon

On 16 November, Sinochem International announced the proposed transfer of 36 percent stake in rubber producer Halcyon Agri Corporation Limited. This marks another important step in the company’s “fine chemical strategy” in which fine chemicals represented by new chemical materials stay at the core of the business.

Inauguration of Modified ABS Materials Plant

On 18 August，Sinochem International inaugurated a modified ABS materials plant in Yangzhou. The two-phase construction project was financed by an investment of 500 million RMB, towards an annual production capacity of 56,000 tons of modified ABS and PC materials. The completion of Phase I has brought annual capacity to 24,000 tons of modified ABS materials, further expanding the company's footprint in engineering plastics.

Startup of Lianyungang Epoxy Resin Project

In June, Sinochem International's 180,000 tons/year epoxy resin project in Lianyungang started up to yield qualified products. Combined with the existing 170,000 tons/year capacity in Yangzhou, the new facility will bring the company’s epoxy resin production capacity to a total of 350,000 tons per year, which is the largest industrywide in China.

Thailand Polymer Additives Plant Put into Operation

On 19 May, the first overseas polymer additives factory of Sinochem International was officially put into operation in Thailand. The factory can provide localized supplies to downstream customers in Southeast Asia. Moreover, by leveraging the geographical and business advantages of Thailand, the factory can expand its business to Southeast Asia and throughout the world, while improving the stability of the company's global supply.

Startup of PA 66 Project

On 5 May, Sinochem International's PA 66 project started up to yield qualified products. Sinochem International invested 978 million RMB in the project, towards an annual output of 40,000 tons of PA 66 and 25,000 tons of the intermediate Hexamethylene diamine (HMD), effectively resolving domestic shortfalls in the supply of PA 66 and key intermediates, thereby strengthening China's PA 66 production autonomy while elevating safety standards across the supply chain.

Inauguration of New Site of Sci-Tech Innovation Center

On 25 February, the new site of Sinochem International Sci-Tech Center in Shanghai Pudong New Area was officially inaugurated. As a “think tank” of Sinochem International’s headquarters, the new center will kick start the company’s new journey in technological research and development with its larger sacle and higher technological standards.
