Sennics Thailand Commenced Construction

On March 9, the construction of Sennics Thailand Co., Ltd. was officially commenced in Rojana Industrial Park, Chon buri Province, Thailand. It is the first overseas production base of Sennics and an essential step in the Company’s globalization. Sennics Thailand Plant will be built into a green, intelligent, and sustainable modern plant with an annual production capacity of 25,000 tons of rubber antioxidants.

Deepening Cooperation with BMW Group in New Energy

Sinochem International announced that it will further cooperate with BMW Group in renewable energy power systems, namely to advance the collaboration in fields of manufacturing i3 power battery, research and development of energy storage systems derived from i3 power batteries and utilization of decommissioned batteries.

First Plant in Sinochem Lianyungang Industrial Park Put into Operation

On October 31, Ruiheng of Yangnong Group held a joint commencement ceremony for its Phase I Project A. This is the first plant that has been built and put into operation in Sinochem Industrial Park in Lianyungang.

Sponsoring Marathon Event Again

The “Sinochem International Cup” 2019 Xiangshan Ecological Marathon was held. Led by General Manager Liu Hongsheng, Sinochem’s Hundred Runners Team participated in the event. This is the second time that Sinochem International has sponsored a local marathon to support sports and culture undertakings after the 2017 Lianyungang Marathon.

Acquisition of Elix Polymers, a European ABS Manufacturer

In January, Sinochem International successfully acquired ELIX Polymers, S.L., a European manufacturer of special engineering plastics headquartered in Spain. It was a strategic move of Sinochem International in the sectors of polymers and lightweight materials that have a large market capacity and high technical threshold.

On December 12, Sinochem International celebrated its 20th anniversary by hosting the "Twenty Years Onwards" media opening day and the premiere of its new corporate video titled "In Science We Trust" at the Sinochem International Plaza.

Sinochem Membrane Industry Base to be Established in Ningbo, Zhejiang province

On November 30, Sinochem International signed a 3.5-billion-yuan investment agreement with Ningbo government to locate the Sinochem Membrane Industry Base and R&D Center in Xiangshan County, Ningbo. This represents a major strategic move by the company.

Further Expansion of New Energy Business

On August 29, the company signed an agreement of intent for investment and cooperation with Junsheng Battery and Bordrin, gradually expanding its business portfolio to the research and development and application of ternary lithium batteries, new energy vehicles, intelligent travel, and charging services.

The World's Third Largest Aramid Project Launched

Sinochem International and Suzhou Zhaoda Specialty Fiber Technical Co., Ltd. set up a joint venture to build a project with an annual capacity of 5,000 tons of para-aramid in Yizheng, Jiangsu Province, which, upon completion, will become the third largest aramid supplier in the world.

The three Sinochem member companies were incorporated into Sinochem International.This is an important milestone in the company's strategic coordination and resource integration, making "Lightweight Material Marketing" and "Medical Health" two major business sectors of Sinochem International.
