Trial Production of First Batch of Installations under C3 Project
On 22 February, the first batch of installations under Sinochem International’s C3 project went into trial production whereby stage-based production commenced for C3 Phase 1 projects. The installations includes an epichlorohydrin project with an annual capacity of 150,000 tons, an epoxy project with an annual capacity of 180,000 tons, a hydrogen peroxide project with an annual capacity of 350,000 tons, an ionic membrane caustic soda project with an annual capacity of 120,000 tons, as well as some public auxiliary projects. This marked an important milestone in the construction progress of Sinochem’s Lianyungang Industrial Park.

S-TMQ Project Completed Construction and Put into Production
On 10 January, Sinochem International’s High-end Antioxidant S-TMQ Project was completed and put into production in Shandong province. With world-leading technological standards and product quality standards, the project is set to fortify the company’s position in the polymer additives sector and bolster the company’s efforts to lead the green transformation and upgrading of the fine chemical industry.

Entering the Plastic Additives Business
On 26 August, Sinochem International completed the acquisition of Jiangsu Fopia Chemicals Co., Ltd., marking a foray into the plastic additives business. As a manufacturer of plastic additives based in Binhai, Yancheng, Fopia manufactures products such as light stabilizers, UV absorbers and special flame retardants. Its production capacity for CEPPA flame retardants is the largest in the world.

Completion of Major Asset Restructuring
On 13 July, Sinochem International announced the completion of its major asset restructuring, whereby the company holds 79.88% of Yangnong Group shares in total while the Yangnong Group will no longer directly hold Yangnong Chemical shares. Through the completion of the said exercise, Sinochem International has improved the shareholding ratio for high-quality assets of new chemical materials and key chemical intermediates. This will further hone the focus of the company’s main business in the fine chemical industry which is based primarily on new chemical materials.

Modified ABS Material Project Commenced Constraction
On 17 April, the construction of Sinochem International’s modified ABS project was commenced at Yizheng, Yangzhou with a annual production capacity of 56,000 tons. Upon completion, the project is set to expand the roadmap of the company’s engineering plastics business and accelerate the progress of industrialization.

Inauguration of Yangzhou New Energy Base
On April 16, Yangzhou New Energy Base of Sinochem International was inaugurated in Yangzhou Economic Development Zone. Covering an area of 1,500 mu, Yangzhou Base is scheduled to be built in four phases with a production capacity of 20GWh.

Sennics Thailand Launched First Batch of Products
On March 9, after one year’s construction, the Thailand Polymer Additives Plant of Sennics subordinated to Sinochem International reached the design target in the joint debugging and testing of production line for product delivery, with its first batch of products coming off the production line smoothly, making that the project has successfully filled the gap in the production of rubber antioxidants in Southeast Asian countries.

Acquisition of Sinochem Hebei’s three subordinates
On December 28, Sinochem International acquired 100% equity in Sinochem Fuding, 60% equity in Sinochem Xinbao, and 70% equity in Sinochem Fuheng held by Sinochem Hebei and planned to build the “Sinochem Functional Materials Industrial Park” in Cixian County, Hebei Province, bringing new profit growth points for the Company in the field of new functional materials.

Sinochem Yizheng Industrial Park Completed Contract Signing
On December 18, the contract signing for Sinochem Yizheng New Materials Industrial Park Investment Cooperation Project was conducted. The industrial park will, relying on independent innovation of key technologies and breakthroughs in bottleneck technologies, focus on the development of five material industries, namely the industries of high-end resins, high-performance fibers, degradable plastics, electronic materials, and modified materials, and implement the whole industrial chain layout of “key intermediates - polymers - modified applications”.

Sinochem Zhongwei Industrial Park Launched
On November 20, the opening ceremony of Sinochem Zhongwei Circular Economy Industrial Park was held. The industrial park will make full use of the phosgene of Yangnong Ruitai and the natural resources in Western China while focusing on the development of high-performance materials, special fibers, and lithium battery materials to build a green and integrated new material industry chain featuring leading technologies and international competitiveness.
